The Heritage Senior Living COVID-19 Safety Commitment
We are committed to creating a safe environment that protects both residents and staff from the spread of COVID-19.
We ask our staff to join us by protecting themselves, their co-workers and the residents they serve by wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when in the community and acting responsibly outside of work by practicing social distancing and wearing a mask in public.
We ask every resident to act responsibly in their communities by following recommended guidelines for maintaining social distancing, strictly adhering to the community visitation policy and following quarantine procedures and other safety protocols when they are deemed necessary by health officials.

Response to COVID-19
We are proud to have partnered with CVS Pharmacy as the vaccination administrator for our employees and residents in our licensed communities. Clinc dates dates are set by CVS without our control and vary by location. Please reach out to individual communities if you have questions about specific dates for the COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
Precautions and Protocols
Heritage Senior Living has been educating and preparing the leadership in our communities about COVID-19 since the end of February 2020 with the goal of first preventing and, if necessary, mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
We are committed to following both CDC and Department of Health guidelines, starting with creating a ‘task force’ within our company to collect information, make decisions, provide guidance and communicate with staff, families, residents and outside parties.
Safety of our residents and staff has been the driving force in all our decisions. We’ve been proactive about restricting visitors and mandating staff wear masks – things we put in place even before it was recommended by the CDC. As a company, we’ve taken stock of our PPE and deployed it to communities as needed. And education is ongoing. Educating employees about COVID-19, the proper donning and doffing of PPE, frequent Covid-19 preparedness drills, and the importance of strict adherence to guidelines in place both at work and in their personal lives. Furthermore, we’ve been committed to communicating honestly and regularly with residents, families and employees. We believe that this has created trust that we are doing everything possible to keep residents and staff safe – because we are!
Heritage Senior Living is very proud of the front line staff that is caring for residents at all of our communities. To recognize them, we implemented a “Hero Bonus Program” in March and have ensured that they have information regarding our Employee Assistance Program to provide any support that may be needed.
